TAYLOR HARRIS

UKWHO Trustee

Taylor recently graduated from the European Union Master of Public Health Programme (EuroPubHealth+) with a Master of Public Health from the University of Sheffield and a Master of Health Promotion from the University of Granada. Taylor has a variety of international experience in health promotion, outreach, project management, event and conference planning, leadership, and education. She was on the founding committee of SheffWHO, in Sheffield, England, where she served as the Conference Service Coordinator. Taylor then founded GranWHO, the first WHO simulation in Spain.

 

She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Ecuador as a Community Health Worker, where she taught sexual education, nutrition, and hygiene to vulnerable populations. Previously, she taught English in South Korea. She is passionate about healthy lifestyles, social determinates of health, and sexual and reproductive health through both policy and education. Taylor feels that WHO simulations encourage youth to get involved in discussions and debates that ultimately lead to solutions related to health, environment, poverty, and education for future generations!
