Thursday saw the inaugural session of UK Model WHO’s Academy Programme. The first cohort welcomed a total of 54 participants across both Delegate and Chair Tracks, from over 12 countries, providing a truly global learning experience. Participants networked with each other across a total of 22 different fields of study and work, making the experience both diverse and insightful.
The session provided participants with foundations in understanding the role of the World Health Organisation, World Health Assembly and Model WHO simulations. Within these topics, they looked more closely at the rules of procedure and concluded by making their first opening statements on behalf of their chosen Member State! Overall, participants brought a great amount of enthusiasm and engagement to the session, making for a great launch of The Academy Programme.
