With a background in Medical Anthropology, Haleema has carried out research in the biological versus cultural risks of consanguineous marriages in British Pakistani communities. She has recently completed an MSc in Medical Anthropology at UCL, where Haleema carried out ethnography on the prevalence of caesareans in the Punjab, Pakistan. 
 
Alongside her studies, Haleema has worked as a researcher at Inclusive Employers, a private membership organisation fighting for diversity and inclusion.

Previously and in Haleema’s current position, she has developed training sessions and online content for delegates both in her occupation and as an organiser of events which focused on emphasising the importance of women from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds in the workplace.
